Administrative Staff

David Stewart, Chief Executive Officer

David Stewart has 30 years of experience in operations, management, acquisition, development, and financing of senior living properties. David currently serves the senior living industry as an independent board member and interim Chief Executive Officer. Over the last 20 years, David served in executive management roles for two different senior living providers: Chief Executive Officer of Continuums Foundation, and President of Senior Living Services at Provident Foundation. David graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a BA in Accounting. David is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the state of Tennessee.

Patti Jenema, VP, Campus Operations

Patti Jenema has been with the Church of Christ Care Center since 1993 with experience in Finance, Public Relations, Fundraising, and many special projects over the years. In 2020, her title changed to better reflect the areas she supports on campus. She has a BS in Marketing from Central Michigan University. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, and puzzles. Patti and her husband, Todd, attend the Rochester Church of Christ and have 3 children.

Shanita Bradley, Nursing Home Administrator

Shanita Bradley has a Master’s Degree in Hospice and Palliative Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Gerontology from Madonna University where she also serves as an Adjunct Professor. She has worked in long term care since 2006. She has worked as a Private Duty Manager, Admission Director, Regional Housing Manager for both HUD and Assistant Living, and as a Bereavement Coordinator in Hospice. She has worked in the healthcare field for 20 years and says her passion is caring for the elderly and providing them with the best possible care.

Tracy Lathan, Assisted Living Executive Director

Tracy Lathan graduated from Davenport University with a Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters in Science Administration from Central Michigan University. She started off in healthcare when she was 16 years of age, however, she worked for the auto industry for nine years as a Team Leader and Quality Inspector. In 2009, Tracy went back to her first love which is working with the elderly population. She has held various positions such as Housing Administrator for HUD housing, Marketing Director for a Memory Care Community, and Executive Director for an Independent Living Community for seniors. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandson, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

Doug Edwards, Director of Philanthropy

Much of Doug's career has been centered in college and university administration with an emphasis on marketing and fund raising. He worked for an international university for five years which gave him an opportunity to visit several foreign countries and participate with many different cultures. His multi-faceted career has given him many opportunities to be creative and innovative. He has been very successful in his fund raising career and is pleased to help build the fund raising program here at the Care Center. He has taught several art courses on the collegiate level and enjoys hobbies of music, painting and golf. He has a wife Janet, two children, and five grandchildren.
